The benefits of etiopathy

Ouch! Ouch! Don’t have a sore spot on your body anymore by discovering what etiopathy is. Etiopathy is a non-conventional treatment that originated in France, close to osteopathy and chiropractic, which are part of the osteopathic tradition. This treatment aims to treat the root cause of health problems, not just the symptoms. Discover the benefits of etiopathy today.

Etiopathy, a therapeutic technique

According to the National Institute of Health and Medicine (Inserm), etiopathy includes various manipulations involving the skin (folding, peeling), tendons (dry lateral stretching, repeated friction pressure), and muscles.

100% manual, etiopathy is a therapy aimed at finding the cause of a medical condition, diagnosing it and treating it without medication. Treatments are the result of in-depth studies and aim to restore the body’s normal functions and eliminate the dysfunction to prevent recurrence.

Etiopathy therefore takes a systematic and global approach, always examining the body as a series of interacting systems.

The term etiopathy was coined in 1963 by the founder of the practice, Christian Tredaniel. The term is composed of two Greek words, aitia (cause) and pathos (suffering).

After 20 years of research, Tredaniel developed the basic principles of etiological medicine in his book Fundamentals of Etiological Medicine.

Etiopathy is inspired by the tradition of referral, an ancestral practice that has been transmitted orally for hundreds of years. The traditions aimed at treating ailments through touch, massage, and palpation. It has also inspired many procedures such as osteopathy, which require extensive knowledge.

Etiopathy cannot cure a serious illness or replace surgery. However, this practice can complement conventional medicine and provide relief to patients.

The main benefits of etiopathy are

– Treatment of spinal disorders such as neuralgia, torticollis, lumbago, neck pain, etc. It treats certain gynecological disorders.

– For the treatment of urinary tract diseases, nocturnal enuresis or prostate diseases.

– Treatment of otorhinolaryngological diseases such as sinusitis, rhinitis, conjunctivitis, ear infections and vertigo.

– Treatment of gastrointestinal disorders such as gastroesophageal reflux, bloating, indigestion, and constipation.

An etiopathy session, a session in which we relive

First, the therapist asks questions about the patient’s feelings, history and development of symptoms.

The etiopath then proceeds with a diagnosis to determine the cause of the illness. He relies on a combination of inspection, palpation, and symptoms.

If he feels that he cannot treat a patient, he will refer him to a specialist. Otherwise, Ethiopian treatment is possible through simple and quick manipulations like those of osteopaths (visceral, spinal manipulations, etc.).

The number of Etiology sessions depends on the patient’s health condition. As a rule, 3 to 6 sessions are sufficient.

After each consultation, the Etiopath can personally advise the patient to maintain the effects of the session.

The duration of an etiopathy session depends on the patient’s health problem. The average length of a consultation is about 30 minutes.
